• Shaan Akbar is the founder of AV Labs, a strategy-driven creative group that reimagines what it means to represent, manage, and produce creators and studios of the future. He also founded Nandri - a sourcing and design venture that connects creators to India’s finest sustainable textiles and next-gen materials.

    Previously, Akbar spent over 15 years at Warner Bros Discovery, where he played a pivotal role in executive producing, developing, and marketing numerous hit and groundbreaking unscripted series across high-profile networks, including Discovery Channel, TLC, MotorTrend, Velocity, Science Channel, and Discovery Health. Most notably, he co-founded and led the development and production of Velocity at Discovery Inc., transforming it into the fastest-growing men's network.

    He later co-led M&A efforts for Warner Bros Discovery, and spearheaded content strategy, rebranding Velocity and acquiring MotorTrend - elevating it into the world's most valuable automotive media brand. Under his content leadership, MotorTrend has won Emmy and Telly Awards and amassed a monthly audience of 26 million across web, TV, and print, 110 million social followers, and 1.3 billion monthly impressions across all platforms.
